Dr. Djelmis
Veterinarian/ Owner: Dr. Djelmis has had love of animals and a soft spot for strays since he was a child. “I always loved animals and I always wanted to be a vet, a dream I never gave up on”, says Dr. Djelmis. Dr. Djelmis graduated in 1989 from University of Zagreb, Croatia. Civil war led him to come to America. With almost 35 years of practice, Dr. Djelmis still gets excited about his work. He has a special interest in soft tissue surgeries and dentistry. He’s been in Hilliard since 1997 and took over Dr. George Kukor’s Hilliard Veterinary Hospital in June of 2006. He enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with his family. He is fluent in English, Hungarian, and Serbo-Croatian.Dr. Grandominico
Veterinarian: Dr. Grandominico grew up in Central Ohio and completed her undergrad degree at The Ohio State University. From there she went on to complete her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at one of the top ranked vet schools, University of Guelph Ontario Veterinary College. She greatly enjoys developing close relationships with her patients and their families. In her free time, Dr. Grandominico enjoys traveling, cooking, pilates and spending time with her 2 dogs Greta and Hank.Michelle
Veterinary Technician: Michelle graduated from Columbus State in September 2001 with an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She has been with Hilliard Veterinary Hospital since September 2013. She has 3 cats; Ozzy, Luka, and Chloe.Shannon
Office Manager: Shannon began to work with animals in 2010 as an assistant, training in canine behavioral modification at Acme Canine in Delaware, Ohio. Her love for animals led her to later transition to veterinary medicine where she managed boarding facilities, assisted veterinarians in appointments with exotic pets, and later migrated to a client service coordinator role. Shannon joined the Hilliard Veterinary Hospital family in August of 2022. Her husband David and daughter Kaylin love to spend their free time outside in nature. Some of her favorite activities are gardening, kayaking, and rides on the back of her husband’s Harley.Juli
Veterinary Assistant: Juli was hired by Dr. Kukor to work part-time at Hilliard Veterinary Hospital in 1996. She continued to stay and work for Dr. Djelmis after he bought the practice in 2006. She enjoys the variety that each appointment brings, and that each patient is different in some way. She has a cat named Blue and a Chihuahua named Mia.Becky
Veterinary Assistant: Becky has been with Hilliard Veterinary Hospital for over twenty years. She enjoys that every day at work brings something new, and no day is the same. Becky currently has three cats; Kasper, Waldorf, and Zelda. They are a lot of fun and keep her entertained daily.Jaclynn
Veterinary Assistant: Jaclynn recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Otterbein University, majoring in Zoo and Conservation Science. She plans to pursue veterinary technician or veterinary school in the near future. While she doesn’t currently have any pets, she loves her roommates’ black Labrador, Paisley, and Chihuahua, Peanut, as her own. In her free time, Jaclynn likes to travel, draw, exercise, and spend time with her friends and family.Daniel
Veterinary Assistant: Daniel grew up in Hilliard, OH and attended Hilliard Darby High School. He has a Bachelor of Science from The University of Cincinnati, and has been working in the veterinary field for a year now. He has a chocolate Labrador named Indy, and he loves soccer.Karen
Groomer: Karen has loved animals since early childhood and has spent years showing, grooming, and training dogs and horses. She enjoys making dogs look their best. She has an Afghan Hound, a standard poodle, a Cairn Terrier, and a Havanese. She enjoys gardening and going to horse and dog shows.
